Day 1: Solvang Danish village, Santa Monica Beach, Pacific Park
The journey begins with a visit to Solvang, a picturesque Danish-style village nestled in the Santa Ynez Valley, about a two-hour drive from Los Angeles. This charming town offers a European atmosphere with its timber-framed buildings, traditional windmills, cobblestone streets, and inviting bakeries. Stroll through quaint shops selling Scandinavian goods, take photos with iconic Danish architecture, and don’t miss out on authentic pastries and sweets. Solvang provides a delightful escape into Old World Europe without leaving California.
Then we return to the coast and unwind at Santa Monica Beach, one of Southern California’s most iconic seaside destinations. With its soft golden sand, gentle waves, and lively boardwalk, Santa Monica is perfect for sunbathing, biking, or simply taking in the ocean breeze. Walk along the historic Santa Monica Pier, built in 1909, which connects the classic beach town vibe with timeless entertainment.
Here at the Santa Monica Beach, we can spend out time at at Pacific Park, an amusement park built directly on the pier. This family-friendly attraction features a solar-powered Ferris wheel offering stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, a classic roller coaster, arcade games, and colorful food stands. The vibrant atmosphere, fun rides, and stunning views make Pacific Park the perfect way to enjoy the day.
Day 2: San Diego visiting some of these places: Seaport Village, Tuna Park / USS Midway Carrier, Balboa Park, City tour, Asian Garden Mall / Phuoc Loc Tho
We will head south to the coastal city of San Diego, known for its year-round sunshine, relaxed vibes, and rich cultural heritage. Start your exploration at Seaport Village, a charming waterfront area filled with boutique shops, casual eateries, and scenic views of San Diego Bay. Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the harbor, soak in the ocean breeze, or listen to live street music while grabbing a snack or souvenir.
Next, step aboard the legendary USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier turned into an immersive naval museum at Tuna Harbor Park. Walk through the ship’s command center, sleeping quarters, and engine rooms. Explore dozens of restored aircraft on the flight deck and experience interactive exhibits and flight simulators. Guided by retired Navy personnel, the visit offers fascinating insights into life at sea and U.S. naval history.
Our next stop is at Balboa Park, one of the largest urban cultural parks in the United States. Spread over 1,200 acres, it houses over 17 museums, beautifully landscaped gardens, performing arts venues, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Discover Spanish Colonial-style architecture, stroll through the Botanical Building, or explore museums like the San Diego Museum of Art and the Air & Space Museum.
On the way back to Los Angeles, stop by Asian Garden Mall (Phước Lộc Thọ) in Westminster’s Little Saigon, the cultural heart of the Vietnamese-American community. This vibrant shopping center offers a wide selection of Vietnamese foods, fashion, herbal remedies, and gold jewelry. Sample authentic dishes, and enjoy the lively, nostalgic ambiance filled with the spirit of Vietnamese tradition.
Day 3: Hollywood Blvd / Hall of Fame, Farmer Market Original
Spend your final day immersed in the glamour and energy of Los Angeles with a visit to Hollywood Boulevard. This legendary street is home to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where more than 2,600 brass stars embedded in the sidewalk honor the biggest names in film, music, television, and theater. Visit the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre, known for celebrity handprints and footprints, and take a peek at the Dolby Theatre, the venue of the Academy Awards. From quirky souvenir shops to costumed street performers, the area buzzes with energy and excitement.
In the afternoon, head to The Original Farmers Market, a historic open-air market that’s been serving the city since 1934. Located next to The Grove shopping center, this LA landmark is a food lover’s paradise with dozens of gourmet food stalls, fresh produce vendors, artisanal treats, international cuisine, and specialty shops. Whether you're craving local fare or global flavors, this culinary hotspot has something for everyone—and it’s a great place to relax and reflect on the adventures of the past few days.
