Yellowstone is home to over half of the world’s geysers, making it the premier destination for observing these spectacular geothermal phenomena. The park’s volcanic activity drives these geysers, creating a landscape where hot water and steam erupt from the earth in dramatic displays. The geothermal features of Yellowstone are a result of the supervolcano beneath the park, which powers a range of hydrothermal features, including geysers, hot springs, fumaroles, and mud pots. Some of the most famous geysers can be found are: Grand Prismatic Spring, Old Faithful Geyser, Excelsior Geyser, etc...

The Mud Volcano area in Yellowstone National Park is located in the southeastern part of the park. It is known for its unique features, like boiling mud, steam vents, and sulfur springs, which create a strange and fascinating landscape. The area is named after the Mud Volcano, a large, bubbling mud pot where sulfur gases mix with water and mud, causing it to constantly bubble and steam. The Mud Volcano is an active geothermal spot, with soft ground and bubbling mud and steam, but it's not a real volcanic crater. Instead, it's created by geothermal activity and gases coming from below the ground.

One of the most iconic and awe-inspiring landmarks in Yellowstone National Park is the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon will showcase the raw beauty and geological marvels of the American West. Carved over millennia by the powerful forces of the Yellowstone River. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is a spectacular geological formation that stretches approximately 20 miles (32 km). The canyon, with its dramatic cliffs and colorful rock formations, reveals a vivid tapestry of geological history. The bright hues of the canyon walls—ranging from rich reds to soft yellows—are the result of different volcanic deposits and erosion processes over millions of years. The dramatic contrasts between the canyon’s steep walls and the serene waters of the Yellowstone River create a landscape that is both powerful and serene. Within the Grand Canyon are the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls - two of the most distinct and notable waterfalls located in Yellowstone National Park.
