Kim Son Monastery (also known as Chua Kim Son), nestled in Watsonville, California was built in 1984 by master Thich Tinh Tu. His goal was to built a monastery for every generation to come and learn more about the Buddhist life. Kim Son. where monastics are trained, cultivating wisdom, virtuous conduct, and propagating the teachings. The Monastery would offer meditation retreats for all Buddhist practitioners, Vietnamese youth, and Westerners.
